My confidence does not depend on your opinion of me.
I've known exactly who I am since I was born.

making mistakes.
It may seem I don't listen to your advice,
however, I file it in the archives of my mind.
I'm the one who listens and watches intently to people,
animals, and weather.
Don't mistake my quietude for naivety, or shyness,
I'm busy remembering each detail,
I never forget.
I feel things intuitively,
a gift given from other realms, and passed down
from my ancestors.
Don't tell me to smile, or not to be so angry, or assume you know anything about me.
In fact, don't ever tell me what to do.
You can ask me any question you like,
and I will decide if I want to answer.
I am comfortable in my skin.
