You look at me with your black eyes.
Your head sprinkled with shiny indigo dust.
Streamlined, bawdy, scavenger bird.
Some see you as a fiend.
You teach me how to beat down the earth's crust
with my scaly feet,
and peck at the faces of man.
You also show me the truth, and why
The whiskers are so harsh.
