I pick it fresh and warm from its stronghold.

The pungent smell of raspy tomato vine wafts to my nose.

I peel away the vinyl skin to see soft flesh.

Sweet and salty greets my tongue.

Juice drops from my lips,

to white linen.

The juice still warm.
